Prepare you and your employees for a seamless transition to the new insurance plan.  These steps will help establish timelines & deadlines and set expectations when changing plans or moving to another carrier.   A seamless transition with no surprises is the goal.

Changing Your Health Plan Upon Renewal:

• Plan change requests should be sent in 3-4 weeks prior to Renewal

• Requests usually takes the carrier 2-5 days to Approve your request

• Notify your employees of the new health plan and the effective date
• Provide your employees with the new health plan information
  (Carrier, SBC plan benefits & network information)
• Use your current ID cards until the new ones arrive
• ID cards will be mailed, expect 7-10 days
• Download Member ID cards from the employee's Member Portal
• Billing is the last to be updated.
  
  Billing payment options:
  1) Pay as billed and the carrier will reconcile next month, or
  2) Contact the carrier's Billing Department to request your invoice be updated once the plan changes have been approved and updated in the carrier's system.
